Screen play of “run away boy”  

Tom is the mane male character in my story he stars of a young boy about 14 – 15 years old and in the end of the story he is about 16-17 years old, an older stronger man who was the man that every women wanted. 

The play stars of at school the boy is 14 years old maybe a little bigger that all the other boys and this is why he is being bullied he comes through the school gate and the group off bullies meet him and start saying

Bullies “hi fatty how you today”

Tom just ignores them and keeps walking but they would not stop just Peking away at him, and Tom was just sick of it he could not take no more so he turned around and punched one of the bullies in the face he knocked them to the ground

Teacher ”Tom black come hear immediately”

It was his head of teacher and he sore the whole thing but he will understand that I have been bullied by them for years.

Teacher ”Tom I have rang your parents they are on there way in what on earth where you doing”

 Tom ”Sir they have been bulling me for years they call me names sir and I could not take any more” (cry head in his hands)

Teacher “well you should have come to tell me off this but now you are in the wrong and are going o be punishes for this”

Tom parents comes into the room and sit down

Teacher ”Tom has been in an incident and has been very violent towards a boy his year”

Parents “: O Tom why have you done this”

Tom ”They have been bulling me for years. I could not take any more I just popped and bunched him”

Teacher “well you are suspended from school for at least a week and we will ring your parents to see if a week of punishment has been effective enough and your ready to return”

 Tom went back home with his parents and when they got home they sat him down and said

Parents,”ok we going to have to punish you dramatically that sort off behaviour is wrong and you have to learn that”.

(Camera goes on to Tom and he is upset and shocked)

Parents,” you are going to be grounded for a month and we are taking your phone , your laptop away from you so I suggest you go up to your room and do any work you need to do” .

Tom,” This is so unfair they have been bulling me and you do not even care you just believe the teachers over me”. 

(Tom walks up to his room and bangs his bedroom door behind him)

Tom,” Why do they never believe me? This is so unfair I am going to have to make them believe,(pause) by running away yea from home just for a couple of days so they will maybe believe that I am the innocent one and they will stop punishing me for some thing that I was doing to stand up for my self” .

Parents ,”Do you think that he maybe has been bullied and he was just standing up to them , If that is right then we are being offal parents “?

(Tom is packing his bag he just getting a couple of change of cloths as he is only planning to stay away for a wile to prove his innocents, He also leaves a letter also telling them what he is doing and why. He runs down stairs and goes out of the back door of the house so his parents wont even notice he is going hopefully , He has no plan of where to go just some where near by that he knows but some where his parents wont go)

 (Tom walks down the street and bumps into a couple of his friends and they think it is really cool and Tom starts to think he should maybe just go home and talk to his parents )

(Tom gets to a field it has a couple of tree’s for shelter and no one is around to find him but it is a little creepy as it is getting a little bit dark so he finds a little spot where he will stay for the night )

(Tom settles down and try’s to go to sleep)

(Its morning now and tom’s parents have called the police and they are wired sick and feel that this is all there doing)

Tom, I did it I have made it through the night my first run away night.

(Tom decides to go out for a bit of an adventure he goes through the forest to see if there is a little shelter or hut he could stay I or weather he should just go home, Tom was getting hungry so he goes down to his nearest town to get some food but keep’s his hood up in case his parents have called the police or he even bumps into his parents he has to keep n eye out)

(He goes back to the forest to his little spot and has some food but he has to rashen it just in case he decides to stay away from home for longer but he does think that if he stays just one more night and go home in the morning that will have left his parents enough time to worry them and to prove his innocents)

(There looks like a man is coming towards Tom he starts panicking but he does not recognise him Tom has never seen him in his life)

Stranger, hello what are you doing in the woods at this time of night?

Tom, hi, I have run away from my home.

Stranger, aw no why have you done that?

Tom, I got in some trouble with school.

Stranger, What sort of trouble?

Tom, well I have been bullied by these group of boy’s for years and one day I just lost it and turned around and hit one of the boy’s in the face and a teacher sore the hole thing and no one believed me that they had been bulling me not even my parents so I got throne out of school for a week and when I got home my parents had a huge go at me and took my phone of me and my Xbox and just to top it of they where grounding me in my room for a hole month when all I was doing was sticking up for my self .

Stranger, Well that’s not very fare, but why have you ran away to hear why not a friends house?

Tom, Well I thought if I ran away from home they would realise that I was telling the truth and I do not live far away from this area and I am only going to stay away one more night then go home .

Stranger, Well I own my own farm why don’t you come and stay there for a night it’s better than the woods who know what out hears.

Tom, well I do not really no you and I stayed hear last night and I was fine.

Stranger, I understand but I won’t kidnap you I am just trying to help. What’s your name?

Tom, well I suppose one night would not hurt, and my name is Tom what is yours?

Stranger, well hello Tom my name is bill.

(They start to walk to bill’s farm Tom is a little nervous as he has no idea who this man is or what he might do to him and he knows that you should never go of with a stranger on your own or with out a trusted adult , so Tom knows what he is going to do Is wrong)

(Tom stays at this mans house for over 2 years and he has been working on his farm and become big and mussel and he decides that it time to go home and see his parents but first he decides to pay a visit on the bullies)

Tom, Long time no see boy’s do you remembers what happened the last time I sore you lot?

Bullies, omg it’s Tom, Where are so sorry Tom please do not hurt me we where young we did not mean for all this to happen to use it was just a bit of fun!

Tom, I am not hear to hit you just to scar you a little bit make you think about what you did

(Tom goes back home and his parents are over welled to have him back)

Tom a young boy being bulied at school and one day he lost his temper and lashed out at one of the bulies , a teacher witnesed the hole event and from what she sore tom was the one bulling . Tom got suspened from school and his parents where discusted at him and he was to be suverly punished even though he was telling them that he has been builed by him for years they did not belive him so he got locked in his room all day . no one belived him not even his own family he was so alone and upset that he ran away he when out on his and just biked anywhere , he had no one to go to so he found a little forest and slept in it but he was so scared with all the strang noses and as his parents took his phone off him he could not get any help . He wanted to go home but he knew how mad his parents where at him and they would be even worse now . He was hungry so went into town but he could not be seen by any one who knew him incase they told his parents where he was . No one sore him and he went back to the forest that night and there was a man there he whent over to get his bike and the man stared talking to him and stayed the night with the young boy he told him that he had a house and Tom was welcome to come and stay a few nights if he wanted to . Tom thought it would be a great idea but he did not even no this man . Couple years later and Tom was about 16- 17 years old he had lived with this man for a couple of years but Tom felt ready to go home to see his parent and tell them he was sorry and he loved them but when he got home he found out that his parents had been murderd in a arson attack on the house by the boys who use to buliy Tom when he was younger .

Tom comes back and he wants to go and see his family tell them he still loves them but the most importent thing he wanted to do is to confront the bulies from years ago and show them a thing or to .

As a young boy tom was tormented and bulled by the hole school and even people he called his freinds it all became to much and he ran away from every thing he lived in foster care and did not infrm them of his plan so no one know where or what he was doing  so he built a completly new life in a new and diffrent place at the age of 15 . He stared working in a suppermarket and built his way up but as he became an older man he was terning into a old biter twisted old man he had no freinds he did not really know any one and he blamed his misreble life on the people who tormented and builed him at a young age he also wanted to find out who his parents where as they gave him up for adoption . One day he woke up and had a horafing plan to go around and kill off all those people he did not like one by one . He had to do alot of research to find these people so got a job in a local call centrer so he could get the details he needed from his plan , he sucsed in his plan but later got arrested and he was the talk of england , he killed him self in prison he lived a tormented and sad life but know one really new why he killed all these people till one off the suvivors came forward .

I think that i much prefure my 2 minute film from the Preliminary exercise becouse it was all my idea and i could play aruond with the ideas the hole story andit was all my disition what whent where who was doing this and it was all my responcerbillity so it was all down to me and i found that realy easy then reliing on some one else and they let you down i did not have any of . I also liked it more becouse i could do all the filming and make sure it was alright but with the perliminar exercise i found other people wanted to do so i would only have a little bit to do then nothing for the rest . I think there was a verity of shots in the perliminar exerccise more than mine thaqt was a big mastake that cost me marks so if i could do it againg i would change that and also have another main charector witch would make easer to do more shots and make it better as a film . I think useing the 180 degree rule is a simple way tomake sure your shots are right and consits with continuity . I like shoulder shots as you can see the main charectors shoulder and the view that the charector is seeing so you as the audience know what is going on . Shot reverce shots are also realy usefull as you can see the individual charector and there facel ecspretions then the camra flashes to the other charector  and you can really see the charectors facel ecspretions clearly .  

 This is me useing one of the camaras in media it also so had to head ste atached to the camara . I icked up how to use the camara qight easly and quick it is really simple you just set it up and press play and make sure you keep all of your shot’s straight and make sureyou have some diagetic sound with your film .

This is me useing one of the computers in the media sweat the progra, that i  used for all of my editing was premier pro at first i found this program really hard it first but once i had a few lesson’s the program i was feeling really confordent about the edditing progres and i felt like i could do a realy good job of this proces .

The Top left charector is one of the main charectors out of wolf creek and this man is oing on a road trip not meaning any truble or harm and him ansd his freinds end up geting torchoured to death and they did no wrong ore harm to this man he just did it as part of a hobie , my charector and the wolf creek one are simular becouse they where inicently murdred .

The seconde picture is very diffrent from mine it is the  main charcetor out of all the saw’s heis the man who torchors people to death and offel un human things this is the compleat diffrent charector form mine ! 

i used a feild just behind my house it is a really big poen feld and had a forest behind it so i could use the trees as a place for some on to hide and the feid was be enuf to have a bike ride and a wide shot of the trees , the feild and the boy on his bike . i feimed late on the day so it wuold be realy earie , the sun was going down just as i started filming because if it was dark you woulf not have seen much of the detale like the little girl in the tree .

My target audience is around the teenage years 16+.my films type of audience will watch films like the final destinations and saw also any  other thriller films becouse that is there own disition as a teengaer there own style and a thriller is controled vilence and murder witch you can be scared watching and get a kick out of being scared and yor tommie turning but when you get out side of the cinima it is all fiction .

The limet age of this film is 20 – 24 becouse at this age you have seen all the movies that turn your stumach and now there are all boring you want to watch some thing new and mabe more real and interesting .  

I think the type of people that would watch my film would lissten to hard rock , metak music deprssing songs i think they would shop on the internet and get there favrate music groups tee shirts mot high street lables .  

My film is simular to others becouse the name of my film is writen in the introduction sences. MY titels disine is a scary font and that it apears on the first sence

• My first sence it the sun seting on the area of the filming with mt enoshals as the filing compeny in red scary font to set the sence as a scary film not a plain text or colour .
• Mt seconde sence is the main charector setting the sence on his bike ride in an open feild andd the title of my film comes up in the same font as the film companys name and same colour . It fades in and out of the shot and gives you just enuf time to see the name but not so its all you see . I put it just under the boy on his bike so it does not bloke your view of the astablishing shot .
• The third shot is off the boy about to come across the dead girl behind the tree but he is still none the wiser as this point i changed the view of the camra to be behind the boy an his bike , it also shows you a little bit of the girl behind the tree .
• Shot four is a extrem close up of the boys face just as he see’s the girl dead beside the tree .
• Shot five is the audiences opertinitie to see the dead girl on the boy in a over shouldre shot .
• Shot ix is the bot bikeing as fast as he can and he ends up falling of and this a a shot of that in motion .
• mediam shot of the boy on the floor as he is stuck there becouse he has broken his leg really bad and is unable to move .
• the there is a shot with thye boy stranded on the floor and see’s his killer and he is shouting out for help but know one will hear him .
• The final shot is of the killer walking away affter he has killed the young bot on ”His Last Ride” .

The name of my fiml is ‘his last bike ride’

Because the bot has just gone out for a bike ride thinking he is doing no harm and he see’s what looks like adead girl so he bikes of as fast as he can and his bike tire get cort on something and he goes over the handel bars not forgeting he was bikeing at a very fast speed so he is lying ont the ground with a really badly broken leg then he see’s a man all in black and stats shouting for help and for him not to hert him then he see’s a gun then a shouts more then a black out .I is the boy’s last bike ride .

begings by seting th stoie and the charectors and what exactilly is going on in this house that is so terifieing . The camara was hand held by her boyfreind who is trying to see what is going on in the house and on a night when they are asleep and none the wiser off what is going on . the camara being hand held if really effected it makes it fee realy and more tence

it starts with a man just woken up and realising that he is chained down to a wood bed he panick . A astablishing shot of the man and th cahins on his legs and arms he is truley stuck down thn the tv terns on . it is realy tense how the camara looks at the tv then the mans ecspertions etc .

thois is basted on a true stoire off some teenagers being cidnaped and torchored to there death it it a really of storie .

Hostle

Hostle starts of with the subtitels and wat looks like  man infront of a fire going thruogh a bag and berning every thing . its like he is geting rid of all the evedence of this person . he only keeps the jewlry and watches mabe to sell on .this film is also based on a real storie this makes the film more scaarey becouse if this has hapened who is to say it wont be you next .The camara is on a triepop  and just goes back and forth from the fire to the hands of the man . there is a close up of the objectets that are burning .

credits at the end of the film on a black background with a bramatic song on playing along .

This is our perlimary exercise

I thought It could have gone better becouse we had to go over the originel  film becouse are shots where shaking nd not on the right angle . We also had continuenty problems becouse one off are actures had diffrent cloths on are retake so we had to correct the hole film so it did not look like they had magically changed clothes .

Project panel , a project planel is where you store the elemnts that you are needed to use to create or finish your film the project panel cancontain audio clips ti8els and photos ect . if you import these items they will automaticly apear on your project panel

Monitor pannel , is the progeam that you eddit your video sequences th get them just as you want

Timeline panel , is where you can make your video take the shape you want it to by draging your edited sequnces from monitor pannel , you creat sequnce and put them into the oder you want and they go onto a time table .

 Tools panels,

microphones are thort off as just used on stage for acktors and singers but there not they are used in all sorts off places you would not ecspect like your day to day telephone or on your camara on your phone so when recording you can hear voice or on your computer . micraphones are a very powerfull pice off equitment but they have weaknesses like Directionality,Frequency Response ,Impedance ,Handling Noise. when you have got your canmara  ready to use you have to position it right so you can pick up the sound well but then you do not want ot to close to pick upi a to loud sound .

when makeing a film it is crutial to make a edit it to make it more uderstanderball and you can also make it sertain things look better or more real .editiing is used to creat meaning and a structure to your film . by editing you can change the colour or swap sence about you can just about make change your hole film . A good editor should be able to make a mood in his film by the music or the acktors factial exspretions , you can add axtra elements to your film .Editing is a very important part off a film .

|This lesson i have lerned abut editing , liniear editing is about timeing geting from place to place in time and makeing sense non linear is not about timeing it still functions in sence . Editing is a rearanged of shots  to make a sequence .montages lots of different shots put to gether quicly .

EWS (Extreme Wide Shot) = this type off shot is a reallt wide shot off the surrounded aera  and the main fous in with the back ground .

MCU (Medium Close Up) = the main focus is the head and a little bit off the sholders .you do not cut the shot off at th limbs becouse the shot would look odd just a head and shoulders so you do it just bellow the shoulders

CU (Close Up)= it a close up off a srtain oject for ecample the face it is facused on the hole face so you can only see that and a lttle back ground that is round the head .

Although many modern cameras come with automatic settings, these are usually insufficient when working in film proffessionally. There are a few manual functions that even amateur camerapersons should be familiar with.

Zoom, although a manual feature, should be avoided by amateur camerapersons. It is unreliable and will often turn out badly.

Focus, when used automatically will often focus on the wrong subject in the shot. Using the manual settings will allow you to focus on the subject that was chosen in your planning/storyboards.

Other functionhs, such as white balance, exposure, audio and effects will have similar consequences when using automatic settings. Manual settings should be chosen every time.

There are five key elements to planning a shoot; Who, What, When, Where and Why.

If these elements are not included the shoot will be unclear and confusing to the viewer. When one plans a shoot one should always plan very carefully and clearly to avoid any confusion between the filming crew and to stop any time and money being wasted.

Film plans can also often include a script so that the actors/cast will know what to say. Improvisation may be acceptable on stage occasionally but it is never good enough when filming. Everything should be preordained.

A storyboard is a plan used to design what a final product, be it film, piece of writing, photograph or image will look like. A storyboard must contain a few crucial features. These include:

A rationale or brief statement of what the product will be.

Any assumed knowledge on what the product will be.

A visual representation of the screen layout.

Any underlying data or information that you would need in order to produce the final copy.

Ideally, any resources, such as images or video, to be included.

Without these the storyboard would be ineffective.
