location: town, outside school
three girls walking down a street towards the camera (maybe south parade) to show them all,
then pauses to get there faces and to show the title on each one of them.
then they walk passed the camera showing the film title (mean girls)
then the next shot of jenny stood on her own dressed not as well as the other girls, with the camera faced down to show jennys lower status and the girls look at her, no dialogue.
then they barge into her, fade to black then the rest of the titles begin.
the next shot of jenny walking on her own with her back to us and a voice over of her saying she has just moved here from a smaller town and everythings different.
olivia (voiceover, walking to school,back to us ): “Things have changed so much over the past year, i used to be happy, used to be popular. and then suddenly mum made us move over here (drop bag) (huff) and now everythings different.. so goodbye to the beach life and hello to the city.”
Summer: “this is our place.. MOVE!”
Olivia: “Ohh sorry i didnt know”
Summer: “you will be! learn the hierarchy new girl”
(Olivia moves quickly)
Ella: “who is that?”
Summer:”a freak from the beach”
Mia:”i heard she doesnt even no what a pedicure is!”
Summer :”well whatever……. guess who came round last night girls?”
Ella: who?
Summer: ben..
all girls: oooooo..
(fades out to olivia sat by herself) NEXT SCENE
ben: “do you mind if i sit here for a miniute, im trying to avoid someone, (ben laughs nervously)
olivia: yeahh thats fine, im glad to have the company to be honest”
ben: “your new right?”
olivia: “yeah is it really that obveous?”
ben: “you dont exactly fit in with the girls around here!”
olivia: “meaning?”
ben:”your not fake, your not shallow, and you dont make a point of wearing the least clothes as possible”
olivia: thanks, i suppose i should take that as a compliment!”
ben: yehh it was ment as one.
(they both smile at each other, when summer approaches ben jumps up.)
summer: “where have you been? and what are you talking to her for?”
(olivia walks off)
ben: “i need to get away, im sick of you being so rude, to be honest i think we should brake up!”
(ben walks away)
summer: “what…no one brakes up with me!!”

summer phones mia
summer: “mia, im gonna get ben back if its the last thing i do, you should of seen him talking to olive!”
mia: “dont you mean olivia?”
summer: “yeh whatever shes still a bitch!”….
summer puts the phone down….
mia: “hello summer you still there?”

The head girls are walking behind her
Summer: keep away from my boyfriend!
Olivia: “from what ive heard he’s not even your boyfriend any more! And don’t worry I wouldn’t go near him anyway, I don’t know what I would catch!”
SUMMER WALKS UP TO SCHOOL WITH THE GIRLS FOLLOWING
Summer: “what is that suppose to mean? I don’t know who you think you are but at this school im in charge!”
Mia and Ella: YEAH EXACTLY!

(SHOT OF OLIVIA SAT BY HERSELF)
Mia: “ hi err are you okay?”
Olivia: “where’s the rest of your group? I don’t think Ive ever seen you apart from them!”
Mia: “to be honest im getting pretty sick of them, mind if I sit down?”
Olivia: “I suppose not!”
Mia:” I really am sorry, just summer doesn’t like competition!”
Olivia: “competition?”
Mia: “yeh its obvious Ben really likes you!”
Olivia: “I hadn’t really noticed”. (smiles)
Mia: I better go anyway, I suppose to be meeting summer for a pedicure, its been nice talking to you anyway..
Olivia: what’s a pedicure?
FADES OUT
Ben: “Olivia wait up!”
OLIVIA TURNS AROUND
Olivia: oh hi Ben ( awkwardly)

(5 years on, Jenny voice over explaining what has happened to the girls),
in case your wondering the group split up, from what ive heard summer, is now having her 3rd child, all with different fathers. As for the other girls, Ella is now a top Journalist and ironically my favourite collumnist. I still see Mia, infact she’s one of my closest friends she was the maid of honour at my Wedding.
ben proposed after two years of living together, and I’ve never been happier. So surprisingly the move to Shallow City was the best thing that ever happened to me! And the groups split was for the best.
