title analysis
February 5th, 2010 by joannabyrom2102Panic room-
The tiltles on panic room are ontop of images like buildings etc which is very effective because it lets the viewer get to watch something while waiting for the film to come on also gets then thinking what it is about. the music that goes with it is good because it goes with the genre of the film very well because its creepy and slow.
convergance task
February 5th, 2010 by joannabyrom2102Task one
a) The apple ipad has the internet, it is touch screen, has more than 500 applications, plays music.
b) The iPad has also been held up as a potential saviour for mainstream media, combining Apple’s ability to get people to pay for online content with a covetable device whose colour screen is ideal for displaying magazines and newspapers as well as television programmes.
A whole host of apps is now being developed to offer new ways to enjoy old media. Some senior publishing executives, however, were disappointed by last week’s launch.
Task two
a) the playstation 3 doesnt just play games, it plays music and you can save the music and games onto the hard driuve a bit like the xbox does, its also compatable with play station one and two games, also you can watch dvd on it, so you may not need a dvd player you can just have that.
b)
c) Sony could use the playstation 3 to market or sell because it could go with there sony televisions to get better picture or even better deals. also they might say this has a dvd and a game box in one so it might get people to buy them!

February 3rd, 2010 by joannabyrom2102I watched the ring on youtube, it starts of with a women opening a door, with blood coming underneath her and seeing a close up of her face to see her reaction as she sees the movie on the t.v and freeks out then it dissolves into the titles. The titles flash on the screen which is really effective because it gets peoples attention and goes along with the theme, scary movie.
i thought the music was the main aspect of it because its a scary movie and the music was starting off like music from a jewerlly box which i found creepy, then it slowly goes onto drum and bass music which shows flashes of series of images which are blood in jars etc..
when we do our opening of the filn i will use this as an influence because it will help us decide what type of music to use and what pictures to put on.
Recce Shots
February 2nd, 2010 by joannabyrom2102My prelimary exercise
December 14th, 2009 by joannabyrom2102For this video we edited it on adobe premeire and i think we cordinated the shots quite good. But if we had to do this again we would make sure we would keep enough time to do so because we had to film it twice because we needed more shots and the actors were dressed differently, so next time we will film way more than we should do. We did meet the brief by the use of a establishing shot, wide shot, close up of the handle, etc but we should of had more dialogue in the video we only have me saying cheers rather than me and jack having a short conversation. The establishing shot should of had less head room and we should of sorted the lighting out, to do this we should of looked through the eye peice more, rather than the screen. I am happy with our outcome considering its our first film.
video shot log.
December 10th, 2009 by joannabyrom2102this helps you plan and edit your video correctly by getting the correct time each shot should be and making sure they all fit together in a sequence. It saves you time and effort in the long run.

Foundation portfolio
November 4th, 2009 by joannabyrom2102The foundation portfolio is counted for 50% of your A/S reults, the first exercise is preliminary exercise it is very specific, e.g someone walking down a corridor, going into a lesson, sitting down with a bit of dialogue. we have to do this, to show our technique so far and where we are at the minuite, it has to be done in a group preferably 2-3 in a group. Then we have to do some material that shows our planning like a storyboard and a annimatic storyboard on the adobe premiere. we need to research on our film genre also, because we get to choose our genre of the short film. We also need to do a multi media evaluation at the end to show how we did the short film instead of doing a written one like at gcse.
