Foundation Portfolio
The foundation portfolio is counted as 50% of your AS-level. The first part of it is the preliminary excercise, this will be decided by the examination board and is usually a very specific task. You have to produce a short film. It will be something such as someone walking down a corridor and need to include a few lines of dialogue. This is to be used as a starting point so your progress is able to be measured. It will be done within a group of your choice usually two or three people. You will also ned to show all of your planning this is very important, you have to create an Animatic storyboard on the Adobe Premiere software. Research on your films genre will also need to be included, this means analysing two films from the genre you have chosen for your own film. Lastly you must create an evaluation this will be done using multi media, it will help to explain your film and the decisons behind it.
